Article V: Membership and Elections
2. Third line: Each member shall be elected AT LARGE: four members shall serve a four-year term and three members shall serve a two-year term beginning on January 1 of the year following their election.
3. At the first meeting of the Council immediately following the approval of these revised By-laws, the existing Council shall, for the purpose of staggering terms, divided itself into three groups: group 1 of two members serving four year terms, group 2 of two members serving four year terms, and group 3 of three members serving two year terms. The seats of group 1 shall be vacated on December 31, 2024; the seats of group 2 and group 3 on December 31, 2026. Prior to each expiration date, one or two groups of the Council shall be newly elected.

Holds Elections for Positions
Every Two Years
Members of the Community Council serve as volunteers and act as a communication link between the Community and County and State Government. They also help organize local activities and events. The Council is made up of seven members, four elected for four-year terms, and three elected for two-year terms.
Persons wishing to run for election must be 18 years of age or older and residents of the Peshastin area (click here to see map). Petitions declaring candidacy must be submitted by the October Council meeting prior to the election, either in person or by mail, to the Peshastin Community Council, PO Box 711, Peshastin, WA 98847. Petition forms may be downloaded and printed by clicking here or on the image below.
All officers of the Council; Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary and Treasurer, are nominated and elected by the Council from within its membership at the first regular meeting of each calendar year, and serve for a period of one year. Meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month, 6:30 pm at the Peshastin Public Library.
